Here’s a summary of the work we’ve been able to track with cannabis farmers incorporating PittMoss®, or growing in one of our formulas…

Overlook Farm

First indoor grow completed on June 2, 2018 with PittMoss® CannaBlend as a 30% ingredient in the custom grower mix at Overlook Farm in Wiscasset, Maine. Conducted by Shawn Barnes and Buzz Pinkham.

Growing Balance

Second indoor grow completed on July 23, 2019 with PittMoss® PM 1 as a 30% ingredient in a 65% peat moss, and 5% perlite growing mix at Growing Balance in Bowdoin, Maine, conducted by Patrick Wiley.

A new indoor grow will begin in a 60% PittMoss® CannaBlend, 40% cocofiber and 8% aged bark blend at Growing Balance, conducted again by Patrick Wiley, who has committed to providing a case study with yield figures.

Up the Hill Farms

First outdoor grow completed October 18, 2018 with a blend of 30% PittMoss® CannaBlend, 30% cocofiber, and 40% fermented bark at Up The Hill Farms in Ukiah, California. Marshall Davis was a manager and cultivator for 11 years at an indoor grow in the Los Angeles area before he married and had the opportunity to move to Ukiah, where he started producing Pure Kush PK, a variety of cannabis that doesn’t grow indoors. He is convinced that the formula he is growing it in has enabled him to achieve excellence with our mix.

A second outdoor grow was in progress as of July 2, 2019, with a blend of 60% PittMoss® CannaBlend, and 40% cocofiber, at Up The Hill Farms, conducted again by Marshall Davis.
